What Haunts Your Hometown
Every town has a story it tries to forget. We collect them.
Welcome to What Haunts Your Hometown — a new horror anthology series uncovering the darkest corners of local folklore, urban legend, and buried truth. From forgotten mining towns to suburban cul-de-sacs, each tale explores the unique fears that fester just below the surface of real American places. These stories aren’t born in Hollywood—they’re whispered on backroads, muttered at campfires, or passed down in hushed warnings.
And yet, many of them are based on something real.
Each issue of What Haunts Your Hometown plunges readers into a new location, a new nightmare, and a new unexplained phenomenon. Some are rooted in old legends. Some have been reported by actual witnesses. Others are twisted takes on real crimes, unsolved mysteries, or things the locals just don’t talk about anymore. What binds them together is one question:
What if that story your neighbor told was true?
This is horror rooted in geography. Creeping, rotting, personal. The kind that makes you think twice about going for a midnight drive on that road everyone avoids.
The series will be hosted by a yet-to-be-revealed narrator—perhaps one you’ve met before… or someone entirely new, born from the shadows of the stories themselves. Whether it’s a cursed soul like Sugrom Haki or a freshly unearthed cryptkeeper of local lore, the voice guiding these tales will be as unsettling as the truths they expose.
Currently in development, What Haunts Your Hometown is being carefully stitched together from real historical accounts, eyewitness reports, and classic monster fiction—all illustrated in a gritty horror comic style. These aren’t jump scares. They’re long chills that follow you after the story ends.
So grab a flashlight. Pack a few doubts. And ask yourself:
What haunts your hometown… and why has no one ever stopped it?
